Policy Statement

It is the Company's policy not only to comply with statutory health and safety related matters, but also to act positively to prevent injury, ill health, damage and loss arising from its operations. The promotion of the health and safety of employees at work and all persons affected by the work is an essential part of the duties of all Directors, Managers and Supervisors.

In pursuit of this policy the Company, recognises its statutory obligations in regard to the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and to such other statutes or regulations as may be relevant to the work in hand.

The Company encourages employee participation in and contribution to the establishment and implementation of safe working practices. Neglect of health and safety requirements within the Company will be regarded as seriously as any other disciplinary matter.

To supplement this policy, British Drilling and Freezing Company Limited has issued a series of Safety Notices dealing with specific areas of risk. These are available to all employees and are supplied in a separate document. In addition there is also available on request a Group Safety Management Systems document designed to meet the requirements of HS (G) 65
